Reddit Ad Placement // Project C 2014
Design / Social Strategy
Reddit was a key placement in the digital campaign promoting Archer Vice. As the resident Redditor at Project C, I knew we had to target the advertising-weary audience in a special way. To appeal to Reddit community, we created a series of unique banner ads mocking the controversial and risque Gonewild subreddit. Running on r/Gonewild and r/NSFW, the ads targeted the Archer fan-base where they least expected.
Utilizing Archer animation assets provided by FX, we created images to look like the cast of Archer posing in the buff.
After the community of r/ArcherFX picked up the ads, Digg posted them to their Tumblr page. And from there the copy-paste world of internet journalism ran its course.

Noteworthy: The Despicable Me 2 maid .gif accumulated 315,675 notes (58% reblogs) on Tumblr making it the top sponsored ad on Tumblr of 2013. The Django Unchained .gif reached the front page of Reddit.
